Why everyone keeps coming back.

Restaurant & Café Am Kleistpark is a delightful gem nestled in the charming area of Frankfurt (Oder), offering an authentic taste of traditional German cuisine with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Located at Kleiststraße 7, this cozy yet elegant spot invites you to indulge in classic dishes that warm both heart and palate.

As you step inside, the warm, inviting ambiance immediately sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The décor strikes a tasteful balance between tidy simplicity and comforting familiarity, perfect for relaxed lunches, family dinners, or casual coffee breaks. For those who appreciate a genuine cultural immersion, the café’s staff enhance the experience by conversing exclusively in German—adding a charming touch of authenticity and even a little lighthearted challenge for language enthusiasts.

The culinary offerings are nothing short of spectacular. Diners rave about the seasonal asparagus dishes, notably the velvety asparagus soup and perfectly cooked calf schnitzel served with fresh asparagus—a true celebration of the early asparagus season. These dishes exemplify the kitchen’s dedication to quality, freshness, and flavor balance, delivering that satisfying harmony of crisp textures and tender, juicy meat that traditional German comfort food promises.

Beyond the seasonal specialties, the menu is filled with hearty classics that resonate beautifully with those seeking a warm, typical German dining experience. Whether you choose to pair your meal with a refreshing local beer or settle in with an aromatic cup of coffee, the atmosphere encourages lengthy, relaxing meals under soft lighting or even al fresco seating by the park during warmer months.

What truly sets Restaurant & Café Am Kleistpark apart is its ability to feel like a neighborhood treasure while maintaining the standards of a high-quality dining establishment. Customers consistently praise the attentive and friendly service, reasonable pricing, and the unpretentious, yet inviting, ambiance. As reviewer Owen Davies noted, it’s a tranquil spot just outside the bustling city center—a perfect retreat after sightseeing or a peaceful place to reconnect with family over a delicious meal.

Whether you’re visiting Frankfurt (Oder) or a local searching for a dependable, delectable dining option, Restaurant & Café Am Kleistpark offers a genuine slice of German culinary tradition wrapped in warm hospitality and an atmosphere that feels like a second home. Prepare to savor every bite and every moment.

Very good restaurant. We stopped there for late lunch with family. We had great asparagus soup and calf schnitzel with asparagus as it was a beginning of the asparagus season. It is also a great place to improve your german as the waitress was speaking only in german which was funny.

While in Frankfort-Oder recently with my family, the Restaurant & Café Am Kleistpark provided a wonderful spot for lunch, dinner and just a beer. Located outside of the main downtown area, but convenient to our accommodations across the park, we enjoyed the high quality food and service, as well as the relaxing al fresco ambiance.
